#1 Barifinkle/Team Sit on My Face 35 - #13 McGarry Dangles Inc. 33

IT WAS OVER WHEN...PLAYOFF CHANCES
QUOTE
Charlie Gilvarg made two free throws with 3 seconds left to give Barifinkle the win. Barifinkle wasn't the most motivated they've ever been, and McGarry Dangles was almost able to capitalize. However, Barifinkle was still able to get the W.
At 6-0, Barifinkle has clinched a spot in the A Bracket. At 2-5, McGarry Dangles is officially eliminated from playoff contention.
"You're gonna let Goliath beat David like this?!" - Mac Tucker to the ref after the ref let Charlie Gilvarg have 2 free throws for the win.
Up Next: Barifinkle vs. Mallard Magic. McGarry Dangles vs. Coot's Coot.

#2 The Express 41 - #14 Coot's Coot 22

IT WAS OVER WHEN...PLAYOFF CHANCESQUOTE
The Express went up 13-0 to start the game. It wasn't competitive for a second. The highlight for The Express was Tim Denenberg putting up a season high 10 points, and the highlight for Coot's Coot was Johnny Round banking home a free throw.
Coot's Coot is eliminated from A Bracket consideration. At 7-0, The Express have clinched a spot in the A Bracket.
"Coot's Coot. Coot's Coot" - Team Coot's Coot (and Mike Maley one court over) chanting in high voices during free throws, and at other various times in the game.

Up Next: Express vs. Tallula. Coot's Coot vs. McGarry Dangles inc.

#3 Theo 19 - #17 Off In The Woods 18

IT WAS OVER WHEN...PLAYOFF CHANCESQUOTE
David Mulford's buzzer beater put Off In The Woods down 1. This game was a classic: with Walt Lyon missing, Off In The Woods gave Theo a run for their money. Cody Hines made a few clutch free throws in the last minute, as did Tim Stringer. Jared Hammernik missed a wide open lay-up at the end, while David Mulford missed his second free throw down 17-16 with 10 seconds left.
Off In The Woods, at 0-7, is eliminated from playoff contention, and will be in the B Bracket. Theo is 6-0, and will be in the A Bracket
"Gaines has a mullet" - Joey Madej, referring to Cole Gaines' mullet.

Up Next: Theo vs. AD. Off In The Woods vs. Boo Radley.

#4 The Bomb Squad 55 - #19 Hank Mardukas 32

IT WAS OVER WHEN...PLAYOFF CHANCESQUOTE
Matt Traub went for 36. Traub has been dominant as of late, and tonight was no different. James Bartels dropped 15 for Hank Mardukas, who had Brandon Cramer and Michael Schroeder as their other scorers, and that's it.
The Bomb Squad is 6-1, and is looking at a 4 or 5 seed, pending a win next week, but it could be higher if Theo/Barifinkle/Express lose. Hank Mardukas is in the B Bracket
"McGowan had negative 200 points" - James Bartels

Up Next: Bomb Squad vs. Ortega. Hank Mardukas vs. BYE.

#5 AD 42 - #16 Supreme Court 20

IT WAS OVER WHEN...PLAYOFF CHANCESQUOTE
Supreme Court lost the tip. AD dominated this game the whole way.
AD has clinched a spot in the A Bracket, while Supreme Court is in the B Bracket.
"Reid 'Berrychill' Berry; Dillon 'Bigman' Oberlin; Ben 'Morton' Morton; Will 'Pasthramazine (?)' Elliot" - Just some of Ortega's team nicknames.
Up Next: AD vs. Theo. Supreme Court vs. Medieval Times.

#6 Tallula 55 - #18 NWA 35

IT WAS OVER WHEN...PLAYOFF CHANCESQUOTE
James Knight went to work. Knight had 35, and NWA (with Peter Lind from The Bomb Squad) didn't have a defensive answer. Jeremy Rosenfeld added 15 points, and Andrew Heisler had a good game for NWA with 16 points.
NWA drops to 0-6, and is in the B Bracket. Tallula moves to 4-2, and clinches a spot in the A Bracket. Right now, Tallula's 2 losses will put them as a 4 seed at best (with Barifinkle, Express, Theo in front) and if Bomb Squad, AD win next week, probably a 6 or 7 seed.
"It didn't really matter because Knight and Rosenfeld scored pretty much every possession" - Andrew Heisler referring to his 16 points.

Up Next: Tallula vs. The Express. NWA vs. Judge Jim.

#7 Ortega 44 - #8 Mallard Magic 39

IT WAS OVER WHEN...

PLAYOFF CHANCES

QUOTE
Dillon "Bigman" Oberlin knocked down a few clutch free throws at the end of the game. It was back and forth the whole time. Ortega was up 34-28 with 3 minutes left, and Stu Brown led Mallard Magic back into a tie. Knotted at 38 with 15 seconds left, Christian Sarkisian bricked a 1-1, and Ortega got the ball back. Reid Berry was fouled by Gordie Campbell, but missed the front end of a 1-1 with 5 seconds left. Berry then fouled Zack Pinaire with 1 second left, 70 feet away from the basket. Pinaire had a 1-1 to win the game, and bricked his shot. Ortega took control in the extra period with Brian Frett sitting out due to injury.
Mallard Magic is 4-2, and has clinched a spot in the A Bracket. Ortega is 5-2, and is clinched in the A Bracket as well.
"Berrychill sounds like a Coldstone Creamery flavor" - Jeff Dsida, referencing Reid Berry's nickname on his shirt: Berrychill

"Berrychill not berryclutch" - Jeff Dsida, after Reid Berry (berrychill) missed a 1-1 to win the game.

"Yo, where'd you go to college" - Cole "The Mullet" Gaines to the IHSA approved ref, officiating the game.

"We're playing the blue line out, so back your asses up" - the ref to the 50 people watching the Ortega game from the sidelines
Up Next: Ortega vs. The Bomb Squad. Mallard Magic vs. Barifinkle.

#9 Medieval Times 54 - #15 Phase 4 18

IT WAS OVER WHEN...PLAYOFF CHANCESQUOTE
Phase 4's only offensive scorer (Sam Shapiro) got injured and went to the sidelines. Medieval Time won easily.
At 4-3, Medieval Times still may need one more win to get into the A Bracket. They play Supreme Court next, so they should win easily. Phase 4 will be in the B Bracket.
"Sam Shapiro was suspended today for pants-ing Morgan D'Arcy in gym" - Jeff Dsida: Pete Drevline didn't find Shaprio's antics amusing, and sent him to the adviser chair. From there, he got suspended for a day.

Up Next: Medieval Times vs. Supreme Court. Phase 4 vs. The Bullets.

#11 Boo Radley 23 - #10 Re-Elect Judge Jim Wascher 21 (2OT)

IT WAS OVER WHEN...PLAYOFF CHANCESQUOTE
Judge Jim's lay-up with 3 seconds left was swatted by David Winter. The play before, Spencer Levin swatted a shot to Nic Boury, who hit a teardrop to give Boo Radley the lead with 10 seconds left.
Boo Radley and Judge Jim Wascher both move to 4-3: Boo Radley's won 3 in a row, Judge Jim has lost 3 in a row. Both teams have joke games next week, so both should make the A Bracket.
"Probably the best finish of the year" - Jared Sperling

Up Next: Judge Jim vs. NWA. Boo Radley vs. Off In The Woods.
